Fidelity has been managing assets for retirement plans in Japan since 2001, providing top investment solutions to defined contribution schemes through local third party administrators. With close to 20 years of local experience, we regard further developing our Japanese retirement business as one of our key strategic goals and a vital component of our long-term corporate success. Fidelity currently manages over USD 3.4 billion on DC assets, serving over 3,000 corporate DC plans and over 30 individual DC plans (called iDeCo).

Our DC investment solutions range from Japanese Equity to Global Equity, Global Bonds and Target Date Funds, and we have built sound track records in these areas by leveraging partnerships with our dedicated investment teams both locally and abroad. One of our strengths is our proven long-term commitment to our DC clients, as shown by the fact that over 40% of all corporate DC plans in Japan have adopted our flagship Japanese Equity franchise, the Japan Growth Fund.

In addition to investment solutions, Fidelity offers a wide variety of original value-added services to help plan sponsors and members to be more engaged in managing their DC assets.
