In today's dynamic talent environment, understanding and addressing employee well-being is more crucial than ever. Our latest report “Resourcing for a Restless Workforce," delves into the complexities of workforce restlessness and provides actionable insights for Benefit and HR leaders at multinational companies.

Defining restless vs well at work

Our research finds a stark contrast between employees who are "well at work" and those who are "restless." It reveals that only 30% of the 37,000 working adults we surveyed across 34 international markets feel well at work, leaving a significant 70% categorised as restless. This restlessness, characterised by lower job satisfaction, more negative sentiment about the state of work and higher turnover intentions, poses substantial challenges for organisations globally.

Identifying key stressors

Key stressors impacting employee well-being are analysed, including broad macro stressors, work-related stress, and concerns about financial needs and personal wellness. Our research underscores the importance of recognising these stressors and their potential impact on employee engagement.

The report provides a comprehensive understanding of the factors contributing to workforce restlessness and offers strategic recommendations that may help to mitigate these issues. By addressing the identified stressors and enhancing the employee value proposition through targeted benefits, organisations can support both their workforce and the talent goals of their business.
